Today the Gospel Reading Matthew 21:28-32The Parable of Two Sons is about obedience and disobedience.God asks all of us to work. Who is the one that says yes but doesn’t deliver? It is the religious person who boasts.And who is the one that says no but ultimately does the Father’s will? It is the honest sinner who makes no boast about keeping the law but who puts their trust in Jesus. It is the person who says, “God I’ve tried, but I can’t do it. I’m a failure. God help me.”Jesus told two parables about two sons. This one, like the parable of the prodigal, reveals the stunningly good news that God loves us like a father. God does not hold our sins against us, nor does he expect us to perform and work to earn his love. Two Bishops Ordained in Historic Day____About 1,100 joy-filled people packed St. Therese of Carmel Church on Sept. 28 for the historic episcopal ordination of Fathers Michael Pham and Felipe Pulido.
