The SDOP promotes community organizations and projects that focus on social justice issues. We work with the SDOP on matters of social justice involving San Diego County. Currently, we are spearheading a business outreach effort in support of immigration reform. This campaign is being conducted in conjunction with other North County Parishes and Interfaith Churches (e.g., our neighbor, Palomar Unitarian Church). The current effort is geared towards identifying businesses who support comprehensive immigration reform, through direct contact, letters, email and phone calls, as well as interfacing with various local chambers of commerce and business groups, and interfacing with local north county elected representatives, e.g., the offices of Congressman Darrell Issa and Assemblyman Rocky Chavez.
