Let Our Children Go! A Weekend of Action to End Family Separation

Join us for…

LET OUR CHILDREN GO!

Statewide Action to end family separation and incarceration of our children.

Even though President Trump rescinded his order regarding the separation of children from their parents, there is no plan in place to help these families be reunited. There are major humanitarian issues that still need to be addressed. We will continue to make our voices heard until the decisions being made by President Trump and his administration are humane and merciful.

We will not stop our protest until every child is reunited with their family and laws are changed regarding the continued incarceration of  children and families.

See below for something YOU can do on Saturday to support this effort!

Join other concerned citizens for a March and Rally to protest the separation of children from their parents at our Borders this Saturday, June 23! A bus  will leave St. Thomas More at 9:30am
with Fr. Mike on board.

First stop: Our Lady of Mount Carmel near the border for lunch and orientation.

Second stop: travel near to the Detention Center in Otay Mesa.  Join in about a mile long march to the Detention Center where a Protest Rally will take place from 1:00-2:30 pm. (If you are unable to walk that far, you may stay on the bus and proceed to the location of the Rally.)

Bishop McElroy will participate in this event.

To reserve a seat on the bus, please contact Teresa Perez at teresa@sdop.net  or 619-840-6155 (call or text) by Friday, June 22, at 1:00pm.
