Friends,
In light of the Governor’s new directives, which are effective immediately, and these directives include the closure of indoor worship spaces, St. Thomas More is suspending, as of today, all “In-Person” Masses.
These include all the Weekend Masses (Saturday 5:00pm; Sunday 8:30am, 10:30am, 1:00pm-Vietnamese) and the Tuesday and Thursday morning Masses (at 8:15am).
We will continue to record a Wednesday Morning Mass and a Sunday Mass (both in English).
Confirmation scheduled for tomorrow night (July 14) and July 23 is cancelled and will be rescheduled when conditions allow.
Also cancelled are the two remaining First Communion Masses on Saturday July 18 and 25 (to be rescheduled when conditions allow).
Christy and Isaac will be notifying Confirmation and First Communion parents and families.
This is in effect immediately and until/when we receive new directives from the Governor.
I realize that there is great disappointment and sadness at this turn of events…
Please let us all pray for patience and strength with the understanding that we must take corporate responsibility seriously and, in the Spirit of the Gospel, our Christian duty is always to work for the common good.
